Can't believe that we have completed Term 3!! On Tuesday we were very fortunate to see the P1/2 and P3 classes perform the routines that they had prepared for last week's Creative Dance Festival. Very impressive!! On Thursday Ms Rennie kindly brought her 3 pet rabbits into school to meet the children. Everyone was really excited and were extremely respectful when handling them.
In Literacy we worked on a variety of grammar skills, including direct/reported speech, using conjuctions to uplevel sentences and common spelling patterns. We completed more exercises from the Comrehension Box and practised using more of our P5 Gold Keyword Spelling words. We watched a video about the Easter story and created a comic strip storyboard.
In Numeracy we played a variety of interactive games on the internet to improve the accuracy of reading the time and converting between the different forms. We also completed word problems for durations of time, whilst continuing to read simple timetables.
We designed and developed some active games for P.E. to support our topic 'Fitness'. In Art we created Easter/Spring greeting cards and made and decorated little cup baskets which we filled with sweets and chocolates.
I hope that you all have a fantastic Easter break and look forward to seeing the children back in school on the 17th of April.
