We started our week on Monday with a vist by the Photographer. Everyone looked super smart in their uniforms and ties.
We are enjoying getting outside to take part in outdoor learning activities as part of gaining our John Muir awards.  This week we made some bird feeders using pinecones, lard and birdseed.  A messy business but really good to make! We enjoyed hanging these on the fence and in low bushes for the birds to enjoy.
Alexander, Calin, Caleb and Aaron did a fantastic job on weeding our planter with Mrs Mitchell. It is now ready to be painted. Well done boys!  We are planning to paint our planter in a lovely Seagrass colour and add some alphabet letters on top for extra interest.
In maths we are continuing to work on co-ordinates and plotting a route on an x and y axis.  There has been a lot of good understanding on this area of number work.
We have created some King Charles artworks and these have been put up the hall for our celebrations on Friday for  the coronation of the king. We looked at fun facts about the new king and wrote these onto a Buckingham Palace wall.  We created a king Charles figure to add to the top of it.  These were a lot of fun to make.
We are finding out more about Danny Chung and his best friend Ravi and the mysterious guest that will share a bunkbed in Danny's room.
There has been some fantastic homework completed by everyone and it has been lovely to share this in class.
We enjoyed creating some beautiful paper roses using newspaper, paper from a book and servettes. These will be used for a floral display in the hall on the night of the Rotary Club celebration that will be held in our school hall. Three of our children are involved in this evening. Well done again to Sophie, Caleb and Ava who took part in the Junior Artist Competition. The gained first, second and third places in the competition with their Sunset/Sunrise artworks.
On Friday we celebrated the Coronation of King Charles with a "dress  up" day. People came dressed in red, white and blue. We enjoyed a garden party on the playing field and want to thank Mrs Graham and Primary 6b for organising some lawn games for all of us to enjoy. We all enjoyed a cake and a drink together and had fun mixed up with the other P5 class.
The Social Target Winner of the week is Hannah.  She  has produced excellent project work this week and has been extremely considerate in her actions and words.
We wish everyone a wonderful long weekend!
