It has been a busy week of learning in P5A. It started with us watching the P2 Dress Rehearsal for their show "Chicken Licken." Everyone was a respectful and appreciative audience and we gave good feedback to the P2's and Miss Shearer. We really enjoyed their performance. Well done P2!
We continued our project work by looking at two very informative video clips. The first one was on the life of Thomas Edison and the second one was all about the invention of the lightbulb. We gained a lot of new knowledge and we are now creating a pamphlet to show this information. We also learnt that he was deaf in one ear and going deaf in the other one. However, this did not hold hold back in life and he kept on trying even when he had setbacks and failures. We will use all this information to write a non chronological report about Light.  We prepared for this by making lots of notes from different texts and by watching different videos.
We also had a lot of fun completing our kaleidoscopes.
In maths we looked at clockfaces and all the parts contained on it. We drew a clockface in our jotters and added in the correct language to describe the clockface.
We are enjoying practcing a variety of aspects to do with comprehension using the Readtheory.com app.
We completed our positive language posters and animated them using the Chatterpix app. We know that words can be extremely hurtful and that we need to be a lot more careful with them.
The Social Target Winner of the Week is Florence. She has worked hard on all her tasks this week.
We wish everyone a wonderful weekend!
