The weather has certainly turned a lot colder and wetter this week but there has been lots of good learning and plenty of effort taking place in our class.
In Number work we used the grid method to assist us with multiplication work.  A variety of strategies were used by the children.  We also introduced new vocabulary to do with Lines, Shape and Angles and super learning took during our very interactive lesson. It was wonderful to see how confidently everyone spoke about their learning and how engaged they were in their set tasks.
We continued to practice our Scottish country dancing with P5B. We are getting a lot better at remembering all the steps to the two dances. It was lovely to see everyone really enjoying themselves. Well done everyone!
On Tuesday we had the opportunity to enjoy a singing session by The McDougalls. Everyone enjoyed singing, moving and clapping along to the music.
We have now completed our Rotary Young Artist Competition entries and these are absolutely amazing. They depict sunrises and sunsets and we used mixed media and different techniques to create these over three weeks.
Our class novel "Lampie" by Anet Schaap has been a brilliant book full of many of twists and turns and a happy ending for "Fish" and "Lampie".
For Enterprise we have now completed our Christmas gift boxes and we are now ready to make the items that will be placed inside.
In Writing we used a specific adjective and we had to create a short story using this adjective. There has been lots of fantastic, short stories created.
We wish everyone a restful, long weekend.
