It is briliant to welcome Primary 5A back to school for a brand new year! I am really looking forward to sharing a wonderful year with your lovely children.  There were lots of excited pupils and lots of stories to be told.
PE days will be on a Monday and a Thursday so children should come into school suitably dressed in PE kit with sensible footwear and a warm coat.
Our topic is Oceans and we kindly ask for items to be gathered from the beach like shells, pebbles, sea glass and pottery shards and any other interesting finds. These items will be used for our topic and a variety of other activities in the class.  We would also appreciate the collection of different coloured bottletops to be used with our class novel,   "Lampie" by Anet Schaap.  We started creating a class mural wall about the novel by decorating and folding origami sailboats. Our little boats will carry some very special passengers wearing sailor T-shirts and hats.  Look out for pictures of this very soon.
We are all so excited to start our Primary 5A journey and completed some backpacks with lots of information about ourselves.
We also went on a hunt to find all the angles we have in our names.
Everyone really enjoyed this activity and remembered the names of the different angles very well.
All pupils can bring a novel to read on a Friday afternoon in class. If you have not got a book to read one can be borrowed from the class library.
I wish everyone a wonderful weekend!
