We have had a hard-working week in P5/6 with a focus on completing our personal projects on Mary, Queen of Scots and the Queens Jubilee celebrations.
The children have worked very hard on their projects and have gained a lot of new information about Mary, Queen of Scots. Thank you for all your hard work boys and girls!
After researching some information about Queen Elizabeth II we compiled a small fact file during ICT time. It was really interesting and we learnt lots of information about her. We also imagined that we are King or Queen for a day and wrote about what laws and rules we woud have.
We designed a Jubilee medal and a cake for the Queen's birthday.
As the queen loves Corgi dogs so much we wrote a information piece for writing describing the characteristic of these dogs. We all love their big ears and short little legs.
In Number work we continued with work on volume, length and weight and everyone is showing good understanding of this topic.
We all had a school lunch together on Wednesday with plenty of pupils opting to take a school packed lunch on this day.
Today we dressed down in red, white and blue or pyjamas to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee. We wore our golden crowns and had a class picnic together. We played "Pin the Heart on the Queen's Crown". Lots of fun was had with this activity. Thank you to Caitlin and Mollie L for preparing this activity for all of us.
We wish eveyone a restful long weekend and hope the weather is stays sunny and beautiful
