Everyone has worked very hard in Primary 5/6 this week showing great pride in their presentation skills. Trying to slow down, writing a bit bigger, using a sharp pencil and keeping letters even has helped all to improve their handwriting.
We are excited to be involved in making some artworks for Canmore House to help them celebrate the Queens Jubilee. We have spoken about a few ideas and have started making these.
Our personal projects on an aspect of the life of Mary, Queen of Scots is progressing very well. We looked at the differences between the Protestant and Catholic religions that played a major part in this story. We created a Protestant stained glass window artwork and a stained glass Rosary artwork for our project.  The effort and application with the project has been brilliant and we have really enjoyed the story of the Queen of Scots.
As part of the "Big Plastic Count", our Eco rep Lewis is busy collecting information on all the plastic food wrappers, packets and packaging that we bring to school every day.  We decided to write a poem about "Our Plastic World". Everyone has done an excellent job with their poems and it is full of descriptive, emotive language and imagery. Well done boys and girls!
In Number work we have created some Angle posters for our display wall and everyone has shown great understanding of this topic.
We were very excited to receive our Science box from Generation Science and are looking forward to start on these activities next week.
Just a small reminder that the School Photographer will be in school on Monday taking individual and sibling photographs so full school unifom please.
A very well done goes to Jake as the Social Target Winner of the Week. He always has an excellent attitude and shows respect towards others and his environment.
We wish everyone a fabulous weekend!
