There has been a lot of excellent work happening in Primary 5/6 this week.
We continue to show great enthusiasm for our project work on Mary, Queen of Scots. We completed watching the video of "The Red Queen" and now know all the details about her life. Everyone has put in an extra effort with their personal projects on an aspect of Mary's life. Lots of excellent ideas, drawings, charts, pop up parts and the use of ICT. Well done everyone!
In Maths we continue to look at angles in bearings and directions. We are also calculating angles in triangles. Lots of good pair work has taken place.
A highlight of the week was the excellent discussion we had about positive language use in your class and school and everyone contributed very well to this discussion. We then decided to do a poster campaign promoting the use of positive language. We drew ourselves in your Canmore school uniform and added a speech bubble with a positive language saying. We animated our drawings using the Chatterpix app. These have turned out brilliantly and have been shared on Seesaw.
Our pink planter has now been handprinted and we are now adding Zentangle patterns to it to complete the look. We are looking forward to grow herbs in the planter.
For Health we spoke about Stereotypes and Equality for all. This was a great discussion full of insightful comments by all. We loved playing the Hoop Evasion game in PE.
Congratulations to Olivia and Mollie L who has been selected as PPS members for next year. Well done girls!
Congratulations also goes to Aiden and Jack for showing great resilience and teamwork this week with all their tasks. Well done boys for being so positive.
We wish everyone a fantastic weekend!
