We've had a fantastic first week back at school after the Easter holidays and we are ready for a very busy term in P5/6. The weather has also been great and it was lovely to get outside on the playing field. Lots of happy faces!
Thank you to the three Primary 6/7 girls who organised an Easter egg hunt for us in the playground on Monday. The lucky Easter egg winners were Riley and Morgan. We aslo completed Easter Bunny tessellations in Maths.
In Numeracy we started looking at 12 and 24 hour time and how to write this down in the correct format.  We also learnt how to say different times on the clock in Spanish.
For our RME topic on 'Beginnings and Endings' we looked at the story of 'Noah' who built an ark out of wood. We wrote this story using our own words and are busy creating an artwork.
Our topic this term is Mary,Queen of Scots and we started looking at the story of her life through a video "The Red Queen". It is a fascinating story and every pupil will select a certain aspect of Mary's life to research and display as a personal project. Everyone is very excited to get going with this.
In PE we had two fantastic Benchball games running side by side.  A brilliant effort by all four teams and very close scores.  Some fantastic skills and teamwork being shown in both games.  PE days remain a Tuesday and Wednesday.
Congratulations to James for starting the term with a very positive mindset. He is the Social Target of the Week winner.  Well done!
We wish everyone a wonderful weekend!
