It has been another very busy week in Primary 5/6!
First of all we want to thank all the parents for their support with our Enterprise. We have loved making the felt stocklng fillers for people who are close to us.
This week we have worked hard on creating Explosion books. We have used a lot of problem solving skills, creative writing, story telling, designing and art skills to create these wonderful books. The theme is Christmas and our books are full of stories, poems, jokes, 3-D shapes, art and other information. We are looking forward to sharing these with our families.
In maths we continue to look at more complicated 3-D shapes and their properties. We are  learning to draw 3-D shapes accurately.  We are also identifying and creating different kinds of angles.
We recorded our Christmas message for our parents and had a most enjoyable Christmas party on Tuesday afternoon. It was filled with music, fun, laughter and games. Everyone looked very festive in their Christmas outfits.
On Wednesday we all enjoyed a Christmas lunch together in the hall and
we have completed our Christmas cards and calendars and they are ready to come home today.
Lots of fun was had watching the online Pantomime on Thursday afternoon.
In class we have also been doing an Advent calendar with gifts and everyone opened their gifts together today.
Congratulations to Orla and Caitlin for being selected as Junior Sports Leaders after a successful interview. Well done to everyone else who has shown enough confidence to put their names forward for this position.
Congratulations to Ryan for being selected as Social Target of the week winner. Ryan has kept his very positive attitude as we approach the end of the term. Well done!
Have a fabulous weekend!
