It was lovely to see the children back on Monday to begin Term Two in Primary 5/6!  Sadly Mrs Wehmeyer was unwell and unable to return for the first week so we wish her a speedy recovery.
This week we have been working on Autumn themed Haiku's and the children thought very carefully about how to structure their poems using the 5-7-5 syllable format.  We realised it was actually much harder than we thought!
In Numeracy, we have continued to focus on our multiplication tables and becoming more proficient in using these in our multiplication and division work.  We looked at the relationship between division and multiplication and created fact families to show this.
In our project on Bridges, we have begun to look at our known knowledge and what we want to find out about the many different kinds of bridges around the world.  We have used some of our ICT time to research these and takes notes to increase our knowledge of these.
The children all looked terrific this morning, dressed for Halloween and enjoyed lots of fun activities throughout the day.
Have a spooktacular weekend!
