And just like that another week has flown by in Primary 5/6.
We have completed our Christmas card designs and the children will be bringing these home today so that parents can order the cards online.
In Number work we worked hard on the layout of column addition and subtraction. Everyone managed to do this very well and enjoyed adding some big numbers too..
We have started looking at the 6 times table and this will help us with multiplication and division work we start on after the holidays.
For writing everyone had the opportunity to do a free piece of writing.  I am looking forward to reading these.
We have continued to use the green screen to do recordings to show our mini booklets on our sea animals.
Huge congratulations goes to the eight Primary 6 pupils selected as Tech Team members. Well done James, Orla, Ava M, Caitlin, Ava B, Mollie L, Morgan and Astra. Your interviews were of a very high quality. Excellent!
This week 15 children put themselves forward to take part in the Scotland Maths Week Sumdog competition. They showed a lot of determination and resilience to complete their 1000 questions by Thursday. Most of the questions were answered at school during numeracy time and we have played in small teams daily. It was an excellent team performance and the team finished in an amazing 2nd place overall. What an achievement P5/6!
Congratulations to Ryan, Murray, Lewis, James, Orla, Ava M, Morgan Jake, Lyle, Isobel, Caitlin, Ava B, Aiden, Kyle M and  Ashton. I am super proud of the excellent efforts you have shown during this week. Thank you also to all other classmates who encouraged and supported the Sumdog team during the week.
The Social Target of the Week winner is Riley Smith. Well done Riley for keeping yourself and others safe.
There will be no homework set for next week as it is the last week of the term.
Have a wonderful, weekend! One week to go until the holidays!
