This week we put the finishing touches to our Christmas Fayre stall. Everything looked beautifully festive and we were very happy with all our hard work !!

In Literacy we read and watched an animation of 'The Night Before Christmas' by Clement C Moore. It is such a lovely traditional poem that really manages to capture the wonder of this time of year, especially for children. We wrote a descriptive piece on why we liked it so much, giving examples of quotes and how they inspired our imagination.

In Numeracy we have been playing computer games and board games to support our times tables work, as well as completing more complex word problems and learning to write some word problems of our own.

In Art we started our Christmas cards. There were 3 ideas to inspire us, all of which involve cutting and folding techniques, along with the opportunity for personisation within the design. We hope you like them.

In RME/HWB we learned about the story of Hannukah, the Jewish Festival of Light, which takes place this week and discussed our own personal 'needs and wants' for over the coming festive time.

Thank you for all your support with our Christmas Fayre this year. It was so lovely to see so many of our familes make it along to join in all the fun. We hope you had a great time and wish you all lovely weekend.
