Happy belated Burns Day from Primary 4/5!

What a wonderful Scottish focused week we have enjoyed. We started and ended the week with our Scots Poetry recitals, first in class and then in Reconnector! Well done to Laima, Holly and Lexie our three class winners and well done to Laima who won the overall first position. What super stars we have in P4/5!

This week our Seesaw vote meant we focused on the Scottish Myth/legend of the Selkie! What an interesting character to learn about! We kept our Scottish myths and legends focus in our writing. Continuing to expand our use of adjectives and adverbs in creative descriptions. Check out our Seesaw accounts for all of our fantastic learning!

In numeracy, we have been really working hard with telling the time. Our class have been introduced to the 24/12 hour clock this week. We will keep looking at this for one more week before we move on to another maths focus. Some pupils explored time durations this week and used the numberline to help them calculate the total time of activities expressed.

This week was also completed the School RSPB Bird Watch. We looked out each day to see what type of birds visit our playground and we focused on the areas where we left out bird seed and bird feeders. In outdoor learning this week we also created our own bird nest!

Next week we look forward to moving onto a new topic (Miss Graham knows everyone will be SO excited when they find out our focus on Monday).
Have a great weekend,
Miss Graham
