What a spooky week we have enjoyed in Primary 4/5 this week. We started the week off by learning some new Halloween gym warm up games. A class favourite was definitely Zombies and Witches! We were also learning some sign language linked to Halloween as well as recapping the alphabet. Check Seesaw for a video link to this.

In Literacy this week, we have added the 'when' part to our sentences. We are really trying hard to expand and build upon our sentence structure and the class did really well remembering all of the different sections that we covered last term. We also had the opportunity to start looking at what makes a good character description. Using the prompt of Cruella Devil and Halloween characters, we were able to work together to discover what a WAGOLL looks like.

In Numeracy, we have covered two strategies in addition this week. The part whole model as we quicken our number bonds to 100 and beyond and the number line strategy. Lots of hard work and effort from all groups shown in our Numeracy sessions.

In Project, we were thinking about the impact of deforestation and learning a little about how we can make small changes to help the environment.  We also had a vote to choose a Eco representative. Well done Laima who won the class vote!

And last but not least, check out our Seesaw page for some spooky characters who were spotted in our classroom and playground on Friday.

Have a wonderful weekend.
