We have continued to practise our Athletics this week as we prepare for the upcoming cluster competition. All the boys and girls enjoyed improving their personal best in hurdles, long jump and standing jump. Miss Graham was very impressed with the level of effort everyone showed throughout gym sessions. This is also just a quick reminder that full school gym kit is expected each week for these sessions. Unfortunately some pupils are getting into a bad habit of wearing colourful t-shirts instead of the expected white top. Please ensure your child has selected the appropriate clothing so that they can participate fully in gym.

The pupils have also enjoyed finishing and showcasing their magnet designs and we were all very excited to try out our design and assess the quality of each project. This skill will help us as we think towards the quality control aspect of our Enterprise. We have also been looking at what good advertising looks like and have had the opportunity to identify and use our own persuasive language in our writing.

The pupils have also focused really hard at the number line strategy to help them with adding this past week and some individuals even tried this strategy to add decimal numbers. Other pupils used number squares, number line supports and visuals to support their learning.

We are also very excited to introduce to you our class blog:

Today, we enjoyed celebrating and supporting ‘Children and Need’ and we would like to give a big thanks to Primary 2 for organising some activities for us to try out. I hope you have a great Friday and enjoy your long weekend.

See you on Monday,
Miss Graham
