What a fabulous week we have enjoyed in Primary 4/5. Our week started out looking at simple circuits and having a go at creating our own simple circuit. We spoke about the importance of electricity and also the dangers associated with it. Our work with circuits tied in nicely with our coding work as we applied our skills onto a digital platform. So far we have been able to build a simple circuit exploring electricity for light and movement.

In Numeracy this week, Miss Graham was super impressed with everyone's hard work and effort in using bar models to find fractions. On Seesaw we posted examples of our work and everyone was able to grow in confidence in this area. We were looking at simple fractions and then fractions of an amount.

Our imagination and creativity helped us on Wednesday to write all about a shark that somehow got stuck into a roof? The boys and girls had wonderful ideas around how this happened and our imaginative writing is improving with each picture prompt!

As we have looked at the Romans invading Britain this week we enjoyed playing Strategicki in P.E outdoors. This invasion game was all about team work and strategy and each team did really well in trying to out smart the other.

On Friday, we had superb weather for our first Field Friday. The children were discovering the signs of spring and looking at the life cycle of plants. Check out our pictures/artwork on Seesaw.

I have enjoyed speaking to some parents over the course of this week and look forward to talking to some more on Monday. Have a great weekend,
Miss Graham
