Good Afternoon,
This week we have continued our focus on imaginative writing and using adjectives and adverbs to describe characters. There were lots of wow words, adjectives and adverbs being used to paint a picture of the characters from Roald Dahl's novels.
In numeracy, we have enjoyed learning a new mental maths game called BUZZ and the children are becoming more confident in this. We have also looked at bridging 100 and 1000 as we add on and take away multiples of 10,100,1000.
In topic, we have continued our research into the rainforest, learning the different layers and beginning to look at producers, consumers, prey, predator, herbivores, carnivores and omnivores. We have learnt lots of new vocabulary and a have a growing understanding of the rainforest ecosystem.We are looking forward to looking at this more next week.
We also had a fabulous Friday and Mrs Howie awarded us class of the week! Very well done Primary 4/5!
