It has been a very busy, long term but the children in Primary 4 have continued to have a positive mindset with their attitude and work. We have been very lucky to have Mr McKinnon in class lending a helpful hand.  Mr McKinnon has also been in charge for extended periods of time and has done wonderful work with the children.  We have done plenty of assessments to check understanding and finding out from pupils what their next steps in their learning would be.

We have loved our Roman topic which culminated in a visit to the National History Museum in Edinburgh where we learnt all about the life of a Roman Centurion. We are also busy perfecting our Performance poems getting ready to use IMovies to record it in term 4.  In Numeracy we have looked at Multiplication, Co-Ordinates and Fractions.  Today we used food and sweets to link with our Fraction work and the best bit was eating it all. In Writing we are developing our style using more imaginative language for example Adverbs, Similes, Alliteration, Onomatopoeia, Metaphors and Personification. We successfully permormed Disney songs at the Music Festival with the expert help of Mrs Baxter. Mrs Hay has helped us prepare for the Scottish Country Dancing Festival at Dunfermline High School and then we played various ball games.

We are busy creating a wonderful artwork!  All will be revealed in due course!

We are all looking forward to a wonderful Easter holiday and wish everyone a peaceful, restful time with family and friends.  Soon it will be term 4 and our time in Primary 4 will come to an end.
