We have had an amazing, fun week, celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. We've learned all about her reign, how the Union flag came to be and a little bit about the Commonwealth.
We have made red, white and blue bunting, paper tissue Union flags, played traditional school playground games and decorated royal crowns which we wore to our Thursday afternoon Garden Party where we played games, danced to music and enjoyed a fruity ice lolly on the grass.
We had a design competition to decorate a fairy cake in the Jubilee theme which was great fun. We also watched the movie 'The Queen's Corgi' which was very funny ( eating the cake as our movie snack ) and for a STEAM challenge, designed and made a luxury kennel for Prince, the queen's 'number one' corgi. There were some awesome designs which included a giant tv, several swimming pools, a slide, a union jack door mat and a very fancy ball pool entertainment centre !!
It's been a lovely week.
