Another busy week that has flown past!!

In Literacy we looked at similes and not only discovered some well known ones but managed to come up with a few of our own too. In Writing, we continued to create poems about ourselves, using similes to describe us.

In Numeracy, we have been working on 5 minute intervals and recognising am/pm times. We have been converting and matching word, analogue and digital too. We had the opportunity to sharpen our number skills using Sumdog during ICT this week as well and hope that there will be a Sumdog compettion that we can take part in soon.

For our project, 'Our Bodies', we researched the digestive system. We soon discovered just how many organs are involved and how well they all work together to process the food that we eat. We made a 'working' model using cardboard tubes, plastic bags and tights. It was "GROSS!!" according to some pupils ...smiley

For HWB we looked at the 5 food groups and discovered how each helped to keep us fit and healthy. We hope to find out where some of these foods come from next week.

In P.E. we planned and created fitness stations to provide opportunities for aerobic exercise. We shared our ideas and got to try each others' out too.

This week in Outdoor Learning we used natural materials found in the playground, to design and build shelters for the animals who may visit our school grounds.

Have a great weekend.
