The children have worked really hard and coped extremely well with our first full week back after the Christmas break. In Literacy we have moved onto Prim-Ed's The Comprehension Box this term. The children love working through the coloured levels and enjoy the variety of texts available. The new list of this term's spelling words have now been posted on Seesaw. We will be completing a range of activtiies in school to support the work at home. A copy of our class poem, " Up in the Morning Early" by Robert Burns is also on Seesaw. Please support your child with learning it for our 'Scottish' celebrations later in the month.

In Numeracy we will continue to practise our number skills, in particular, consolidating our known tables and introducing the next ones. We are focusing on 'Time' at the moment and this week we concentrated on reading calendars.

Our current topic is ' Our Bodies '. We will be learning about the various organs and their function. To coincide, the area of HWB that we are looking at is Physical Well Being and in P.E, Fitness.

In ICT we are learning how to create, improve and save powerpoints. The children are researching a topic of their choice and working with a partner.

For Outdoor Learning we developed our team building skills as part of the next step in our Natural Connections programme. We had to work togerther to build a successful bridge and a trap that could safely keep a small animal. It was great fun !

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend.
