Primary 4 had the opportunity to visit the Travelling Book Fair on Monday where they were able to select their favourite books.

In Numeracy we completed a variety of activities working with Money. Next week we will be consolidating our number skills, looking for patterns, learning number bonds and further developing our practical problem solving skills.

In Literacy we worked on up levelling our sentences, using exciting descriptive words and phrases. We also practised using a dictionary and had fun looking for known words and finding new ones.

We learned all about the Poppy Appeal, the significance of the flower, how any money raised is used and we listened to John McCrae's inspirational poem, 'In Flanders Fields'.  We have also been paying close attention to the developments at Cop26 in Glasgow over the last couple of weeks by watching BBC Newsround each day. Very interesting times !!

On Thursday we completed our second Natural Connections activity as part of our Outdoor Learning programme. We discussed the importance of monitoring the weather and made our own rain gauges to collect and monitor rainfall over the next week or two.

Wishing you and all the children a happy long weekend.
