Can't quite believe that's us in the last week of Term 1 already!! It has been a very quick and busy term with lots of great learning and fun taking place.

This week we continued our work on subtraction in Numeracy. We also practised known tables through a variety of activities. We hope to continue the work next term.

In Literacy we learned about polar animals in Reading Comprehension and discussed the effects of climate change on their habitats. We completed our final reading for the term and look forward to picking it back up after the break. In Writing, we planned and illustrated an alien planet with examples of language, money, transport and school timetables created. We had lots of fun.

We made thaumatropes during STEM, coming up with our own unique designs and in Art created colourful fish pictures, using the term's skill set of line and shape.

Friday afternoon was a fun afternoon for all. The winning House got to have a snack and some juice whilst watching a film and the rest of the class could choose from a range of activities to entertain themselves.

It just remains for me to wish you all a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Monday 25th of October.

Kindest regards

Mrs Heggie
