There's been lots of great work happening this week. In Literacy we have been continuing our work on imaginative writing, focussing on creating a detailed and exciting introduction. We have also been looking at verbs and the various tense endings. The class are working hard on the presentation of our jotter work and we are seeing great improvements already. We will also continue our handwriting practise, forming our letters correctly and neatly.

In Numeracy we have been working on word problems for addition and are enjoying our 'chimney' sums with carrying now too. Our practical maths on a Friday is really helping us to find strategies to help solve the problems.

We are nearing the end of our Dunfermline topic which has proved extremely popular. We have been making comparisons between 11th Century Dunfermline and 21st Century Dunfermline and have found the many similarities and differences interesting. Our computer time has been very helpful with research.

We had a fantastic time at the Macmillan Fun Day on Thursday, earning lots of house points, whilst raising money for such a worthy cause. Thank you to Mrs Forrest and P6 for organising everything. To finish off our busy week, we joined the rest of the school in participating in Race for Life on Friday. Thankfully the weather was fairly kind to us !!

Wishing you all a lovely weekend.
