Another very busy, quick week. In Numeracy we are continuing to improve the accuracy and speed of our mental maths, using various games and online activities. We've been investigating addition using vertical, or 'chimney' sums and are now including calculations involving carrying. In Literacy, we are re-telling familiar stories in our imaginative writng, focusing on sequencing whilst using paragraphs. We have been looking at adjectives which will help us to uplevel our writing, making it more interesting for the reader.

We finally got to 'meet' Andrew Carnegie this week in our Project work. Everyone agreed what an extrordinary man he was and how lucky we are to have been gifted so many wonderful amenities in Dunfermline.

We finished off the week conducting an experiment, using a piece of A5 paper, to see if we could fit through it ...... hint : we needed scissors.

Thank you so much for your kind donations for Jeans for Genes. Everyone looked great in their denim.

Have a great weekend.
