Thank you again to the remaining parents whom I spoke to this week as per our parent contact discussions. Just to reiterate to all families, please don't hesitate to get in touch if there are any concerns or queries.
This week in Literacy we continued our imaginative story writing. Our main focus was to use our 5 senses to help plan a more detailed piece of writing. We had lots of fun thinking of all the possibilities!! Our plan with Reading is to keep our books in school Monday to Thursday so they are available for as many reading sessions as possible.Books will then be sent home with a reading record indicating the next pages to try to read at home before the following Monday.
In Numeracy we have been finding fractions of whole numbers and trying to solve some tricky fraction word problems. We're getting there but any practise at home would certainly be of great help.
We moved onto week 2 with our John Muir Challenge and the children had fun measuring trees.
Don't forget that next week is a short 3 day week,with a holiday on Monday and an INSET Day on Thursday. Hope you all have a lovely holiday weekend.
