This week we have started our measurement topic within Numeracy. We have been focusing on length and using mm,cm & m. Some of us were comparing and ordering lengths with different units of measure - it was quite tricky but we worked together and managed successfully. We are continuing to practice our 2,5 & 10 timestables to ensure they are secure before we move on to the 3 and 4. In Literacy we are continuing to focus on high frequency words for spelling and are practising forming our letters correctly and neatly. We used our ICT skills to research modern day philanthropists, having found out all about Andrew Carnegie in our topic work last week.
This week in topic, we focussed on our royal connections in Dunfermline and learned all about King Malcolm Canmore and his wife Margaret.( It certainly explains some of our street and place names!) The weather isn't looking too hopeful for the weekend but I wish you all a nice and relaxing couple of days.
