On Monday afternoon we enjoyed a Woodland walk and we looked at different kinds of twigs that can be found on trees and bushes. We collected lots of items to make a nest for Morris the Magpie and to use for Art.
This week the whole class has been working hard on better listening skills to ensure work is completed correctly and on time.
The children enjoyed writing a free choice story and they focused on using correct punctuation, paragraphs and interesting vocabulary.
In Number work we looked at writing bigger numbers in words and ordering these.  The children are still enjoying working with an elbow partner.  The layout in Maths jotters has improved greatly and everyone is now able to organise their work in the correct manner.
Thank you to parents for sending in postcards and stamps for the Postcards of Kindness Enterprise.  We still need 2nd class stamps so would greatly appreciate if you were able to donate some to the class.  We have received further replies from care homes across the UK and we are happy to be part of this wonderful cause.  Our writing and spelling has improved and we have enjoyed making our own postcards.
Jotters have been sent home for parents to look at.  Please keep all worksheets at home but return the comment sheet and jotters on Monday as children will need their jotters for work tasks.  Make the most of the sunny weather this weekend and I look forward to meeting parents next Wednesday.
