Primary 3/4

It's been another busy week in Primary 3/4. In Numeracy we've been matching and converting analogue, digital and written times for o'clock, half past and quarter past/to. Some of us have also been looking at using calendars successfully. Next week we'll introduce am/pm and 24 hour. In Literacy we enjoyed writing an informal letter to a friend, making sure the layout and content were appropriate. Next we'll be thinking about and practising formal letters. The children are really loving our Egyptian topic and are working individually or in pairs to create a powerpoint in ICT about a chosen aspect from it. We've also been practising some Egyptian songs in Music with Mrs Baxter, for the music festival, which is fast approaching. We will be looking for parent helpers soon; details to follow shortly. Don't forget it's our Scottish Assembly next week. Please do encourage your child to practise their chosen poem over the next few days. Have a lovely weekend.
