Monday mornings continue to be a highlight of our week in Primary 3 with the awesome effort in our ‘Run Club.’ Without exaggeration, every single child in the class has made superb progress and I could not be more proud of their continued commitment to their own running journey!
We had our second letter from Mr Thomas the Toymaker this week. Last week he was encouraging us to find out about different toys which the children did brilliantly in cooperative groups. This week he wanted us to find out about Toys from the Past and the differences between old and new toys. We will continue to work on this.
In our class novel this week, Amelia Jane (the doll) has been up to all kinds of mischief! She threw teddy in the bin and all the toys were furious! I must say so were Primary 3!  As part of our Literacy we looked at sequencing the chapter. What happened at the beginning, the middle and the end of the chapter. We also worked on developing our sentences with the use of connectives to make sure our answers were in more detail.
Our work has continued on addition in Numeracy. With our work in ICT supporting this through a variety of games to challenge the class.
The children had a lot of fun making origami snakes in class as a fabulous end to what has been another unbelievably quick week.
Mrs Thomson has had her operation and is now resting up, well I have given her strict instructions to do so! However, even yesterday she was sending me work she had been looking at.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone, fingers crossed the weather is kind to us.

Kind Regards
Mrs Greig & Mrs Thomson
