It has been a busy and lovely end to term this week.

The children continued to enjoy their yoga/drama session with Mrs Greig and on Friday they created sequences with a partner that had to include 3 different jumps and 3 travelling movements.

In our project work, we watched clips of different extreme weather and discussed the dangers they could bring. Today we designed posters to educate people on how to stay safe in the sun which is so important during our warm days and when abroad.

In Maths, the children completed check-ups so we could see what they were confident at doing and what areas of maths need revisited. Some were also learning about numbers that are half way between two chosen numbers.

In Literacy, the children wrote super stories about a walk in the woods and meeting Plop the owl from our class novel. The children tried hard to add detail using adjectives and verbs.

The class also drew pastel pictures of Plop to go with their stories. The results were impressive. Mrs Howie got to see some of the finished pictures and has asked for them to be displayed in the foyer with some of the stories.

I hope the children have a lovely holiday and come back refreshed after their break.
