Good afternoon,

What an exciting way to end the week with snow! It certainly added to the Christmas spirit in school.

We were very lucky on Monday and Tuesday, to get to support the Nativity performance with our beautiful singing. We were very impressed with the P1s and P2s as they put on a fantastic show! We learnt more about the Christmas story in class too and have drawn and written fantastic comic strips to show our favourite parts of the story.

This week, we have been busy finishing up our board games so they are all ready for ‘consumer testing’ next week. We finished up the board games with our companies on Monday. We then used all our new instruction writing skills to make sure we had clear and useful instructions to follow so anyone can play our games. We also had an opportunity to play our games to make sure other people could follow the instructions we had written. We are now looking forward to sharing our games with P2 next week.

In Numeracy, we have been looking at different types of angles. We made right angle eaters to help us identify right angles. This lets us see if angles are acute, obtuse or even straight. We tested our angle eaters by completing an angle scoot and even finding out how many angles are in our names.

We have our Christmas party next week. It is in the morning of Tuesday 20th December. Children are to wear party clothes but please remember they will be outside at break and lunch so will need to be warm for outside.

Hope you have a lovely weekend and look forward to seeing everyone on Monday.

Only 9 more days until Christmas!!
