Good afternoon,

What a lovely welcome back on Monday morning! It was brilliant to be back in class and seeing all the work that had been completed last week. Everyone had been incredibly busy!

This week has been action packed too. We have been looking at the parts of a sentence and how they are ordered. We have looked at the who and what they are doing using colourful semantics. We played Charades for the different doing parts of the sentence which was fun (and a little noisy). Next, we built sentences using our new understanding. In writing, we have been writing instructions for how to make our Christmas tree decorations for the Fayre. We used different openers and bossy verbs to make the instructions as clear as possible.

In Numeracy, we have moved onto subtraction. We have been revising 10 more and less as a strong foundation for more difficult concepts. Try testing us on this at home! We have also been looking at different types of angle. Right angle eaters came to the classroom and helped us find out if angles were acute, right, obtuse, or straight angles.

The class have all been bringing their best moves to the gym hall this week. We have been learning a Christmas dance for our upcoming party. The ‘Just Dance’ Santa was the most popular dance by far! There was lots of giggling and fun had by everyone.

We have been very industrious this week making sure that our crafts were all ready for the Christmas fayre. We all felt very proud of our stall and were very excited about how good everything looked. The fayre was fantastic and we all had a lovely time looking around at all the items that the other classes had made.

Hope you have a relaxing weekend and look forward to seeing everyone on Monday
