Good afternoon,

What a productive week we have had. We have been writing the endings to our toys alive stories. What fantastic descriptions of the character in the story. We have been using our knowledge of verbs to make the stories more interesting. Instead of walking, we had rushing, waddling, jumping and zooming.

In Numeracy, we have been looking at addition calculations with missing parts. We have again used our empty number lines to help us achieve this. We have been showing our resilience for this and the hard work is really paying off. This week we had a good number of new teachers in P3. Members of our class were very brave and taught us how to use an empty number line! Mrs Hay is a wee bit worried that they will be after her job next!

On Monday, we started the design process for our board games. We started with asking questions about how other people have solved the problem of designing a new board or card game. We had a lovely afternoon sharing and playing games and writing down good ideas to help us plan our own games.

We had a great time in PE this week too. We have started learning our Scottish Country Dances for our Christmas party at the end of term. The class picked up the St Bernards Waltz very quickly and it is becoming more polished all the time, although the Disco Tig after the dancing is proving far more popular.

Hope you have a relaxing weekend and look forward to seeing everyone on Monday.
