Good afternoon,

This week has flown by. There was much excitement on Monday for Halloween, to celebrate this we had an opportunity to write our Spooky stories about an old, dusty, broken house. They were fabulous! We also looked at onomatopoeia. We used the inspiration of Bonfire Night to improve some boring sentences with sound words. They were much more exciting when we were finished.

In Maths, we have been looking at what we know to help us with bigger numbers. We discovered that we could use our knowledge of 3+5=8 to help us work out 30+50=80! We learned that just because it is bigger doesn’t always make it harder.

We started our topic on Toys this week. It turns out that we already know a lot about this subject. The class spent some time thinking of what we would like to know about this topic. We asked some incredibly interesting questions that will be exciting to answer.

If you have time you might want to quiz us on our Spanish colours this week. We spent the afternoon learning the colour names and how to ask what colour is it. Even Mrs Hay learned a new word in Spanish!

Hope you have a lovely weekend and look forward to seeing everyone on Monday
