Good afternoon,
This week, we have been planning writing for some spooky stories about an old house. Mrs Hay gave us a vague description and we discussed the importance of using adjectives to help our audience visualise our story. We have lots of fantastic plans to help us write these stories next week. Our descriptions inspired us to draw our own spooky houses which looked really creepy.
In Numeracy, we have been practising our addition skills to see what we remember from last year. We have lots of strategies to tackle these questions. Next week, we will be stretching these skills!
We finished up our Weather topic on Wednesday. It was incredible how much we had learned (and remembered). Both classes came up with a huge list of all the things we had done last term. There was a lot of excitement when we found out our new topic was Toys!
In Outdoor Learning, we looked at the signs of Autumn and spent time sketching what we saw in the school grounds.
