Good afternoon,

There have been lots of exciting events at school this week. On Thursday morning, we helped Primary 6 fundraise for MacMillan by visiting the Big Breakfast. There was a lovely selection of cereal and toast. Afterwards we got to enjoy some Yoga with Young Sports Ambassadors from Dunfermline High School. In the afternoon, we had some visitors to teach us Spanish. Mrs Scally, Alana and Lucy came to teach us how to talk about the weather in Spanish. It was fantástico!

In Literacy, we have been writing our troll stories. The whole class really pushed themselves to write a story full of descriptive language with tremendous results. Everyone produced much more writing than they have written before. Mrs Hay was incredibly proud.

In Numeracy, we have been focusing on measuring and estimating in cms. We discovered that our fingers were about 1 cm so we used this to help us estimate how long things in the class were.

It was really lovely seeing so many of you over the last two weeks at Parent Contact. It was so nice to be able to share your children’s achievements over the last term and to be able to put so many names to faces.

Hope you have a lovely relaxing weekend and look forward to seeing everyone on Monday.
