Good afternoon,

We have been working hard this week. In Reading, it was lovely to see such improvement over the holidays. There have been some children reading lots over the holidays and their reading has really benefited. We also had an opportunity to write about our names. There were some lovely reasons people got their names and the meanings. We also enjoyed finding out nicknames of peopls and finding out how they got them! Mrs Hay particularly like that a member of the class had a pack name and will be thinking of her own wolf pack name this weekend.

We had a lot of fun in P.E. this week. We have been working on our team building skills. We had a chance to work together on some unusual relay races (which you can see son Seesaw). There was lots of laughing and joking but the teams really came together and got the job done.

Our classroom walls have been looking a bit bare so our art lesson this week will be sure to brighten them up. We concentrated hard and took our time to draw our self-portraits. Then we used oil pastels to really bring them to life.

Mrs Richardson visited us on Thursday afternoon. She came to talk to us about Type 1 Diabetes. She told us about what Type 1 Diabetes is, how it affects her body and how she keeps her body healthy. She showed us videos that explained about the disease, read us a story and talked about her own experiences.

It was very exciting this afternoon, we started our Outdoor Learning. This is the start of us working towards our Silver Award, after successfully completing the Bronze last year. It was nice to be with the Primary 3/4s and we look forward to working closely with them on Friday afternoons.

We would all like to say a big thank you that so many of you are making your lunch choices on IPayImpact before school. It makes a big difference to our morning and allows us to get on with our day much faster. Please get in touch if you have any questions about IPayImpact.

We hope that you have a lovely weekend and look forward to seeing everyone on Monday
