Last Friday we had a fantastic time in Science learning about which solids dissolved in water. We learned what it means to carry out a fair test. The children enjoyed exploring which items dissolved and which items stayed as a solid

The children have been learning how to make posters on Publisher and are at the early stages of saving into a school folder.

We are continuing to look at different number facts in addition and subtraction.

We have been making firework pictures and wrote senses poems about fireworks.

Katie Morag has sent us a second letter with the story 'Katie Morag and the two Grandmothers'. We enjoyed learning about the two Grandmothers and Alecena, the prize sheep. We were all able to share our favourite part of the story.

Children in Need is next Thursday and the children are very busy making posters, bunting to decorate the hall and have made lovely Pudsey ears on headbands for them to wear on the day.

We will be very busy next week making the spotty biscuits, spotty marshmallows and Pudsey gingerbread biscuits in preparation for running the Big Move in the hall for all the classes.

Thank you so much for all the support you have given in collecting the Aldi Kits for Schools stickers. We have managed to complete 5 charts which is really amazing. This guarentees us 5 sports kits for us to use in school. Please keep fingers crossed for us to be one of the 20 schools throughout the UK that will win the £20,000 for outdoor equipment.

Last week for Wellie Wednesday the children had great fun on the field with Miss Shearer. They made Autumn pictures with the items they found in the environment. They took on the challenge of working together to bring a very heavy tree log up the hill. Next Week (13.11.19) will be outside in the school grounds planting bulbs.  Please come dressed in outdoor warm clothing and have welliie boots to change into. If you are available to help, please come along at 1.20 pm.
Have a lovely weekend.
