Primary two were very excited this week to recieve a very special letter from Katie Morag on the Isle of Struay. She was asking the children to find out more about life when their granparents and great granparents were young. She sent them a special task to find out more about their family tree. We are looking forward to recieving another letter next week with another challenge from Katie Morag.

In numeracy we have started learning about adding and subtracting. We have been consolidating our knowledge of add and subtracting to 10. We are now beginning to learn about adding to 20 by learning to add 10 to a single digit.

In sicence we are learning about what solids will disolve in water.  We are predicting what solids we think will disolve and then carrying out a fair test.

The two P2 classes are organising the Children in Need event on the 14th November. We have decide to go with spots and sparkles theme. We are busy designing the posters to be put up throughout the school.

'Wellie Wednesday' was great fun and the children all enjoyed learning more about Autumn. We were looking for ten different coloured leaves, we found a giant mushroom and talked about the safety of not eating anything we find in the forest.
Next week P2b class will be going to the woods with Mrs Elvin and P2a will be going to the school field with Ms Shearer.  Please remember your warm clothing, waterproof jacket and wellies. If your avaliable please come along on Wednesday at 1.20pm.

Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Elvin
