Primary 2a have had a very busy and interesting week.  In our Houses and Homes project, we have been learning the difference between needs and wants. We learned that humans need food, water, clothing and shelter to survive. In Numeracy, we have been learning the language of number, looking at before, after, one more, one less, odd and even.
In P.E,  we have been learning Yoga and taking part in ball skills.
We are having a focus on handwriting and we have been practising writing the letter C correctly.  We have been enjoying George's Marvellous Medicine and thinking about making our own medicine! The children have been writing sentences about what their medicine can do, some examples were growing tall, becoming ugly and exploding!
The children very much enjoyed their visit to the woods on Wednesday when they were able to explore the environment finding snails, slugs and worms. We found that the woods had some litter so we are going to help look after our woods next week by picking up litter. Thank you to all parents who volunteered. Please let us know if you can join us, we can't do our woodland walks without your support. We are looking for 2 parents to come per class each week. Please can you let me know if you can come on 18/9/19  or 2/10/19.
Thank you for the Aldi stickers, we have about 70 already, keep collecting!

Have a lovely weekend,
Kind regards
Natalie Elvin
