Primary 2a have had a very busy and enjoyable week. Through our novel, George's Marvellous Medicine, we have been learning that a noun is a name for a person, object or place. We have been enjoying reading our books in class. Please can you make sure reading books are back on Wednesdays and Mondays.

In Numeracy, we have focused on place value, looking at numbers before, after and in between.  We have been doing number sequences and ordering numbers.

We have been making a wall display of the different kinds of houses and homes and we are creating a street of these houses. We look foward to adding to our display in the coming weeks.

We had a wet but fantastic local walk to explore the variety of houses in our area. The children were showing their school values of Repect, Responsibilty and Resilience throughout our walk. I was very proud of all their behaviour and they are a credit to you and Canmore School.

We have been very busy with our written work. We have been practising writing sentences with capital letters, full stops and finger spaces. We will continue to practise our handwriting with correct letter formation and the letters sitting correctly on the line.

We are all looking forward to our 'Wellie Wednesdays' starting on 11th September.

Please could you send in junk modeling for the children to make models during discovery learning time.

Many thanks,
Have a lovely weekend,
Natalie Elvin
