Wow I can't believe we have finished week two already! All the children have been setting in well and enjoying our learning.  We have had a busy week exploring place value and number formation. In Digital Literacy, we have been learning to log in to the computer and play education games.
We have all completed our first writing assessment to determine our next steps. Our project this term is houses and homes. We have been identifying different kinds of houses.
Quick reminder… Indoor P.E is a white t-shirt and dark coloured shorts, no leggings please.
Please see copy of homework letter below.
Thanks
Mrs Natalie Elvin

Dear Parents,

Welcome to Primary 2a, we are looking forward to a fantastic year together on our learning journey.

For our homework this term, we will be using Sumdog to develop and embed our number skills. Please find enclosed in their reading folder, information about the Sumdog programme and your child’s log in details. Please encourage your child to practise. If you do not have a computer, you can use one at Duloch or Carnegie Libraries, you just have to register and it’s free to use.

Mrs McIntosh is looking for an Eco-committee rep for our class. Any child interested in this position needs to prepare a short talk to the class about why they would be a good rep for us. Please be ready to give your talk by Monday 9th September.

Reading homework will go out twice weekly, given out on a Tuesday to be returned Wednesday and again on a Thursday to be returned Monday. Please ensure your child has their reading book back in time as we don’t have many spare copies.

The homework this term will be to create a model of your dream house. You can use any construction or craft materials to create your model for example lego, cardboard or any other items that could be recycled. Please bring your model to school the week of Monday 30th September.

Thank you for your continued support,

Kind regards,

Natalie Elvin
