Good afternoon,

We were all very excited to start our week with another delivery of a basket full of clues. This time the clues were for the nursery rhyme “Humpty Dumpty". On Monday we enjoyed singing the rhyme and creating actions to go with it. We then continued to develop our learning from last week by choosing the correct word to complete sentences about the rhyme.

On Tuesday afternoon we completed another STEAM challenge with our partners. This time we had to build something for Humpty to either sit in so he didn’t fall off the wall again or something that would protect him from cracking if he did.

In Numeracy we have been focusing on the language of subtraction including: minus, take away, less than and count back. We have enjoyed the challenge of answering different mental and written questions for example: 5 minus 2, 4 less than 6 etc.

In Health and Wellbeing/Science, we continued our learning about life cycles by looking at the life cycle of a human being. We are now enjoying reading some non-fiction books about other animal lifecycles including the life cycle of a chicken.
