Good afternoon.
20 little jaws hit the floor this week when they learned that our latest Daily Mile Destination of China has a population of over 1.3 billion people. The children also loved learning that China is the birthplace of the Giant Panda and that our much loved pandas at Edinburgh Zoo flew all the way from China to live with us here in Scotland. Another excitement was learning about the Great Wall Of China and that it is visible from space. The children are very much looking forward to learning about our next Daily Mile Destination of Japan which we should reach next week.
A highlight of the week was supporting St.Leonards church in their project of decorating the Kingsgate Shopping Centre this December by each creating a set of angel wings. The glitter has most definitely arrived in Primary 1 and I don`t see it leaving anytime soon!
Another highlight of our week was taking to the stage to rehearse our Primary 1 Nativity. `The Very Hopeless Camel’, the heart warming story of a` directionally- challenged’ camel who has the important task of taking the Wise Men to see the baby Jesus. Each and every child in Primary 1 has a place on the stage, performing and dancing and we can't wait to share it virtually with you later in December.

Have a lovely weekend
Mrs.Davie and P1a.
