Primary 1a Weekly Update

Good afternoon,
It was lovely to welcome everyone back from the October break and listen to the stories of fun days out and cosy nights in. The children all settled back beautifully and it really was as if they hadn`t been away at all, super to see!
This term started with an exciting delivery brought to us by Mrs.Kernohan from the office. Anticipation and excitement grew as predictions as to the contents were made and as items were revealed, one-by-one, from the box. As I am sure you have been told, it was Wilbur the witch`s cat in the box along with his bowls, food and a letter asking us to look after him while his owner, Winnie was at a Halloween Party. This created the most magical context for this weeks learning.
The highlight of the week was of course the Halloween Party we held for Wilbur at the end of the week. A traditional party with Pass the Parcel, The Corners Game, Musical Statues, Musical Bumps and the Hokey Cokey were enjoyed by all and I am sure your children have all thoroughly enjoyed their first Canmore Halloween.
