Good afternoon,
The delivery of the Scottish Book Trust Bookbug Bags caused great excitement in Primary 1 this week. Every child in Scotland receives four free Bookbug Bags between birth and age five to help them develop an early love of stories, songs and rhymes and this years Primary 1 bag will go home with your child on Monday. This week we have enjoyed an introduction to the contents in the bag by sharing the stories inside. Alongside the books featured in the bag, you'll also find: an activity book full of fun things to do together all relating to the books in the bag, a pack of bright colouring pencils and a whiteboard and pen.

Another highlight of the week was making a start on the  Nativity Rehearsals. This year, P1 along with P7 Narrators, will be performing ` A Present For The Baby` for you at the end of term. The theme is love and in our story, all the baby Jesus needs to stop him crying is a little kiss, not expensive gifts. Health and Well-being lessons led naturally from our rehearsals where we explored what other things babies need and became aware of the tasks required to look after a baby.

Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs.Davie, P1 and Ted.
