Good afternoon,
Noone would ever believe that this super, settled, happy and confident class have only been in school for 1 whole week. They really are remarkably well settled into school-life already.
Our class Ted who arrived on Tuesday however, is needing a little bit more support. To help him, we created a pictorial class charter and are demonstrating our class wishes:
                                1. Tidy up.
                                2. Use indoor voices.
                                3. Use words when we want to communicate.
                                4. Walk indoors
and  5. Listen carefully to everyone.
Each time Ted sees us demonstrating our wishes, we recieve house points.
( to support this process please ensure your child is wearing their House Badge each day).
In Health and Well-being/ Science we have been learning about the importance of drinking water, other uses of water and how to conserve water. We also enjoyed reading The Little Dutch Boy who saved his entire villiage from flooding by sticking his finger in a hole in the dyke.
Other reading we enjoyed this week was our shared reading with our class librarian, Mrs.Leppard. I hope you are enjoying reading this book at home with your child and are finding the reading suggestions helpful. A wee reminder that our librarian will be in again on Tuesday and will give your child another book if they return the one they have at home.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs.Davie, Ted and P1.
