Good afternoon,

When asking the children for their highlights this week, their thoughts were shared by all . Firstly they all greed how proud they were of themselves for transferring their gymnastic sequences onto the large gym apparatus. Many of them chose to perform their sequence with the highest gym table, remembering to bend their knees as they landed on the mat. All of the class are able to show a starting position, travel along/over/under an elevated bench, balance on a gym table, jump onto a mat, perform a forward roll and complete their sequence with a stop sign.
Next term we look forward to a block of games.

Their other highlight was making their Easter cards for their families. The children were able to produce many different types of lines using crayons to create a wonderfully colourful design which they then washed over with paint to make beautiful Easter egg cards.

A popular highlight was learning about and taking part in the Easter tradition of decorating hard boiled eggs and rolling them down the hill for Outdoor Learning.

The children were also introduced to the Spanish Easter customs and thought it would be fun to take part in the parades and ride on the huge floats.

Whatever your Easter Holiday plans, we wish you a lovely break,
Mrs.Davie, P1 and Biscuit.
